Global-Bali Arts Short Course (G-BASC)

Our short course non degree program is offered to all overseas students from any countries to undertake studies of language, arts, and culture. Historically our short course non degree program was established in 1998 to fulfill large demands of overseas students to pursue study in a short term basis. It is initially admitting students from ASEAN, however it was extended to include students from other countries such as Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and USA.

The main purpose of our short course non degree program is to promote and increase the interest in the language, arts and culture of Indonesia among the youth of other countries. It has also been designed to provide stronger cultural links and mutual understanding among participating countries. For the future, this program will also be developed to support world class University and intercollegiate cooperation.

The Arts-Culture Short Course Program of ISI Denpasar is called the Global-Bali Arts Short Course Program, hereinafter referred to as G-BASC. G-BASC is a short course on arts and culture for foreign nationals and Indonesian citizens with a set of programs equivalent to 10 (ten) credits.

Available Program of Study

Global-Bali Arts Short Course Program (G-BASC) is specially design to accommodate the need of education for participants by    combining courses. The distribution of courses is regulated based on the minimum number of G-BASC participants in one registration period, with details as follows:

1. Participants equal to 10 (ten) people or more, the distribution of courses:

• Praktik Kekaryaan / Arts Work Practice with 3 (three) unit credits;
• Modul Kemaestroan Bali/ Balinese Kemaestroan Module with 2 (two) unit credits;
• Jelajah Keluhuran dan Kearifan Bali/ Exploring the Nobility and Wisdom of Bali with 2 (two) unit credits; and
• Diseminasi Karya/ Dissemination of Arts work with 3 (three) unit credits.

2. Less than 10 (ten) participants, the distribution of 10 (ten) SKS courses is taken according to the interests of the participants based on the courses offered in the relevant semester.
