Denpasar (BBBTimes) – The Indonesia Institute of the Arts (ISI) Denpasar strictly selects the admission of doctoral student candidates.
“It is an effort to receive serious students that would like to study and have outstanding works of national and international level,” said Rector of the ISI Denpasar, Prof. Dr. I Gede Arya Sugiartha, in Denpasar, Wednesday.
He added that his institution has prepared a number of selected topics (agenda setting) that will be taken in attending doctoral studies in the ISI Denpasar.
This measure is made to achieve the goal of the ISI Denpasar in producing the works in preserving the art and culture as well as the creation of new works.
Meanwhile, his institution will only receive approximately ten students for the first batch.
However, the applicants are not only from the circle of campus, local and national milieu but some also from overseas such as Japan. Moreover, there is student from the United States that is still completing its requirements.
To that end, the doctoral program of the art studies to be opened will be able to produce studies through field research, art creation and art presentation.
The ISI Denpasar has six permanent lecturers who will become the promoters. In addition, it will also bring in scientific experts in their respective field.
“Similarly, we are also making cooperation with Cultural Studies of the Udayana University and the State Institute of Hindu Dharma (IHDN),” he concluded. (ART)
